Padel occupancy and price index

Issue 2026-Q3, covering 1 July 2026 to 30 September 2026. Issued on 4 October 2026.

Each quarter we publish two figures per country: the median occupancy of the clubs whose bookings we can read, and the median price of an hour of court time at peak. Each figure comes with the number of clubs behind it and how many clubs the country has. An issue is not changed after it is issued.

How the figures are made

Occupancy is the share of a club's court hours that were booked, read every day from live booking data on the platforms we read. A club counts in a quarter when we could read its bookings on at least 30 days. Its occupancy is the mean of those days, and the country's figure is the median over those clubs, so every club weighs the same. A club that lists its courts on a platform but sells them elsewhere is left out, because there every court looks free every day.

This issue was computed with listing-only clubs left out and no country withheld as a whole: every country with enough measured clubs has an occupancy figure.

The peak price is each club's median price for one hour at peak time across the quarter, in the country's most common currency. The country's figure is the median over the clubs priced on at least 30 days. Prices are in local currency, without conversion.

Clubs known counts every padel club we hold a record of in the country on the day of issue, from booking platforms, federation directories and open map data. Coverage is clubs measured as a share of clubs known. A country's figure is published only when at least 10 clubs stand behind it.

The country table on the press page answers a different question, so its figures differ from these: it describes today, over the trailing weeks, counts the venues on each country's statistics page, and takes the peak price as a median of city medians. This index describes one finished quarter, counts every club we hold, takes every price per club, and does not change once issued.

The Padelnomics Score's method page sets out where these booking measurements come from and what they cannot see.
